Photo Filler (2020-)
Back in 2020, the COVID-19 crisis happened to coincide with my own burnout recovery. These works were created in the midst of rediscovering the joy of creative work, new mediums - experimenting with photography, and making the most out of internal AND external isolation.
The photos were made using a disposable camera that my brother helped me make reusable, with the express purpose of filling them in with illustrations at a later point. What resulted was an experiment of composition, the strange art of placing 2D within a 3D space through lighting and color, and implicit worldbuilding.
BOBO (2021)
Later continuing on this concept, this small set was created by combining the photography of Miles Silvagni with my own character illustrations.
