Happy New Blog!

If you’re here, you probably know a thing or two about the graphic design/motion/illustration industry.

If you know a thing or two about the industry, then you’re familiar with finding work.

If you’re familiar with (at least the process of…) finding work, then you maybe know about all the little rules about what you should and shouldn’t put on your portfolio sites.

Well, maybe I won’t follow them all… this time!

This is the year that I try to keep something of a running public blog about the new things that I’m doing, trying, learning, and even failing. Mostly because I find the principle of “your 10 best pieces” to be a little claustrophobic. Also because sharing my craft is important to me, and a lot of previous work is behind the iron NDA curtain. And, candidly speaking, a little bit because I am currently in a career transition period, to put it in LinkedIn-ese, which unfortunately has the side effect of putting a damper on my client output.

I look forward to sharing what I can of my path going forward, through personal work, opportunistic freelancing, and stumbling through the dozens of tools and programs that every single job posting seems to want me to have 10 years of experience in nowadays (don’t mind the joke, I am eager to learn!).

To big steps in big 2025!
